A1A PUBLISHING

Music publishing administration with clear rights records.

A1A Publishing supports the administrative work around compositions: identifying songs and writers, capturing splits, organising registrations and reconciling income evidence. This is a managed enquiry-led service, not an automated promise that a registration or payment has been completed.

Common questions

Questions before starting

Is publishing administration the same as owning my songs?

No. Administration and ownership are different. The agreement determines what the administrator is authorised to do and which rights remain with the client.

What information will I need?

Song titles, writer names, writer/publisher identifiers, splits and existing registrations are a good starting point. Missing data can be flagged for review.

Will the service automatically recover all unpaid royalties?

No. Registration and claim outcomes depend on evidence, society rules, available records and applicable time limits. We identify and pursue eligible issues within an agreed scope.

Related services

The same project may need more than one music or rights workflow.

PRACTICAL GUIDANCE

Publishing data we review before administration

Composition and recording are different assets

A musical work has writers and publisher interests, while a particular master has recording-specific ownership and performer credits. A single song can have multiple recordings. Administration starts by separating these records instead of mixing IDs and royalty sources.

What we request for onboarding

Prepare song titles and alternate titles, writers and IPI/CAE numbers, ownership splits, publishers, ISWC where available, ISRCs for recordings, PRO affiliations and evidence of authority to administer. Missing information is flagged rather than guessed.

Our publishing administration model

A1A Publishing operates on a standard 15% administration commission under the agreed client administration contract. Actual rights, territories, collection scope, payment and term are defined by the signed agreement, not this website description.

How we investigate missing registrations or royalties

We compare work registrations, recording links and imported royalty or usage statements to locate evidence-backed gaps. An anomaly is an investigation lead, not proof that an amount is owed or recoverable.
