SAMPLE CLEARANCE
Clear a sample, one step at a time.
Start with what was sampled. AMM then walks the team through who owns it, permission requests, agreed terms, proof and the final human check. Contacting somebody is never treated as clearance.

START A CASE
What are we clearing?
Link a catalogue track when possible, or start an external client/project case.
1. What is this clearance for?
Describe the exact use being cleared. Clearance can be limited by territory, project, media or term, so this context matters.
2. What was sampled?
Add every sample/interpolation separately. A track can contain several samples with different owners and terms.
Add / update a sample
3. Who owns or controls it?
Copied audio normally needs master + composition permission. An interpolation/replay normally needs the composition side, but not the original master. AMM flags the likely path; your team confirms the actual rights map.
Add / update a rights holder
4. Ask for permission
Log every request and response. Follow-up dates keep the case from disappearing into somebody’s inbox.
5. What did they agree?
Record the terms exactly as offered/agreed. AMM stores the history instead of overwriting earlier offers.
6. Add the proof
Store references to source research, emails, approvals, agreements and payments. A note saying “approved” is not enough for final clearance.
7. Final check before calling it cleared
This is the gate. AMM will not let the case turn green until the evidence-backed requirements are satisfied.
AMM is a workflow/evidence system. “Cleared” records your team’s sign-off based on the evidence and terms stored here; it is not an automated legal opinion.
